Challenge
Many distress calls taken by Suffolk County’s dispatchers are not able to give adequate information on their location. Suffolk County needed to find a way to gather this data accurately, and more importantly, in a timely fashion.
Solution
Suffolk County Police Department has launched a cocktail of MapInfo solutions to capture and retain up to date location information as well as align this with data gathered from each call to give a comprehensive mapping image.
