Northern Ireland Water Service
Under Article 48 of Northern Ireland’s Water and Sewerage Services Order 1973, DOE Northern Ireland Water Service is required to maintain a record of the location and function of all water mains and sewers in the region. A central system holding these records electronically was required to replace the traditional paper-based system, to allow easy updating and maintenance.
