Powerful Mapping and Visualisation Capabilities
Encom Discover 3D is the 3D extension to the world’s most powerful GIS system for geoscientists (the Discover/MapInfo GIS platform), ensuring maps, contours, graphs, tables, title blocks, scale bars, and other essential mapping components and tools are all readily available.
The standard 2D GIS mapping techniques are further enhanced by specialist 3D mapping tools in Discover 3D. You can stack georeferenced raster images in the 3D view, or drape them onto surface grids. And the text and numerical attributes of 3D ponts, lines, intervals, and vectors can be applied to control the colour and size or diameter of samples, drill holes, outlines, and directional logs.
3D Navigation, Fly-Through, and Immersion
The 3D stereo projection and data immersion capabilities of Encom Discover 3D clearly demonstrates there is no better way of interacting with and understanding the spatial relationships of your 3D data.
Navigating in 3D can be precisely controlled for rotation, zoom, view point, eye position and direction, speed, and sensitivity through standard navigation controls performed by various combinations of mouse and keyboard selections.
Encom Discover 3D is an optional advanced module for Encom Discover.
