MapMarker Australia runs in both automatic and interactive mode. Automatic mode is used as a first pass geocoding tool, with interactive mode used to select the best match for unmatched records.
Clean and Standardise Address Data
MapMarker Australia ensures a high match rate by utilising fuzzy logic and Soundex indexing to manage misspellings, data errors and omissions, and comparing records to an embedded Australian address file. This address file has been compiled from state and territory government information and is the most comprehensive geocoded address file in Australia.
Geocode Street Intersections
Using a standard input format of Street 1 and Street 2, MapMarker Australia generates coordinates of street intersections, based on the Pitney Bowes Software StreetPro road network.

The table will be geocoded with the current preferences without displaying the geocode dialog. To use this feature, the table must have been opened previously in MapMarker to set the columns and geocoding preferences.
Validate Addresses with G-NAF
The MapMarker Australia parser validates address details in a nominated file based on the records contained in G-NAF. Level of granularity includes unit and flat address prefix. As the authoritative address dictionary in Australia, G-NAF provides database integrity and a high level of confidence in coverage and accuracy.
Define user Address Dictionaries
The MapMarker Australia user address dictionaries are similar to other MapMarker address dictionaries, but are created by you from your own source data. The standard address dictionary is composed of StreetPro Australia data. The user dictionary contains high-level data, such as known address, postcode, census, place/city name and odd/even indicators for the left and right sides of each street segment. There is no limit on the number of custom dictionaries you can create.
